Spelling Bee Controversy | Seriously?

The headline of this story at WUSA channel 9 reads. “National Spelling Bee Sparks Debate” – does it really?

How can there be a “debate” when there were only four protesters? Is there anyone that really believes that the English language is “too hard”.

Maybe I’m an old man, but the limited mental capacity of some people is no reason to actually change our language, is it?
